I'm back!

The Orientation Camp was sooo much fun!
I made many of friends (although I still can't remember their names!) and got to know more about the ones that I had made before!!

And yesterday I had to go to school for an advising session which was extremely tiring BUT after that we got to check out G-SPLASH and boy were they good!

I'm not sure whether I am going to join at the moment but they have like trial lessons next week everyday so I'm gonna go and just check it out!!

My worry is that there are other things I'd like to do whilst I'm in Sophia and joining G-SPLASH will really limit that!

Anyways, after school, Mina, Lorna, Miku, Ai and I went to a PUB! It was my first time going to pub and it was really fun actually! We talked about everything from boys to the Japanese Society to sharks to our future plans!

Tomorrow we are gonna go eat YAKISOBA!!

From Left : Mina, Me, Lorna and Miku!

In our room at the camp!

It was soo cold yesterday so I bought the Sophia hoodie! There were MANY colours but I thought this suited me the best!! Kawaii desho?! *hehe*

Anyways, how have you Oizumians been?! Although I'm enjoying uni, I miss you guys a lot! We need to catch up after things have settled down!!

Ciao!

Men and Their Guitars

When it comes to music, I have the tendency to fall in love with men who play guitars. *hehe*

Jason Mraz, James Morrison, Justin Nozuka, Joshua Radin, Jack Savoretti......

(I just noticed their first names all begin with the letter J!)

Here is one of my favourite acoustic performances!

It's Eric Hutchinson singing his hit, "Rock & Roll"

Sorry to those who are looking at my blog from their mobile phones!

I don't think you can watch this!

Ciao!

The Techno Tribal Look

I am not really a fan of big prints just because I am not very good at coordinating them!!

However, I am super excited for summer this year because I am ready to step out of my boundary and try the TECHNO TRIBAL look! *haha*

Loving Heidi Klum's dress:)

A few tops that I own that I guess can be categorized as "Techno Tribal"!

The tops are all from FOREVER 21! If I remember correctly, I think they were all about 1,900 yen! FOREVER 21 is good for when you want to try something new but are not sure whether you'll look good in it!

The skirt is from American Apparel.

Rachel Bilson's high waist skirt is soo cute, don't you think?!

Vanessa Hudgens with her Techno Tribal Tops. (TTT *hehe*)

The Garden Collection By H&M

Currently, H&M are promoting their new collection "The Garden Collection" which is basically a set of clothes that are made with environmentally adapted materials like recycled polyester and organic cotton!

Here is a little peak of "The Garden Collection"!

Isn't this dress so beautiful?! I love the flowers! They sell it in two colours, red and white!

This skirt is perfect from spring don't you think?!
I think if you want to look cool, you can pair it with a leather jacket but if you want to look a little girlier, wear it with a denim jacket!

I love this top and shorts!
But I think you have to be pretty skinny and have nice, athletic shoulders to pull off this top!
The shorts are VERY VERY VERY cute though! I would buy them if they are less than 400o yen!

This dress is soo summer-y and pretty!
But for some reason, I don't really think this kind of shape and colour fits well on Japanese people! I just can't see Japanese people wearing it!

Aaah, I really like this tunic! It's very Nanami-like! (I mention her alot don't I?!)
And the beige colour shorts go really well with tanned skin don't you think?!

What do you think of "The Garden Collection"?!

Will you buy it?!

Hola Amigo!!

Today I went to El Torito for dinner with my family!

I enjoy going out with friends but I absolutely LOVE being with my family!!
This was my dad's first time at El Torito so he seemed pretty exciting!!

We ate....

Arroz Con Pollo

Beef + Chicken Fajita

Beef + Chicken Quesadilla

Avocado + Shrimp Taco Salad

And I drank....

Summer Breeze

Tropical

Which were both NON-ALCHOL drinks by the way! *hehe*

I really like El Torito! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is fun! Plus it's pretty reasonable as well!!

Thanks you Anna + John who introduced us to this place! I am obsessed now! And so is Yurina! *haha*

Anyways, before dinner, while we waited for Keita to come, my mum, dad and I went to the top of the Southern Tower and chilled a little.

Although it was raining and Shinjuku didn't look quite as nice as I hoped it would, I had fun looking down at all the people lining up at Krispy Kreme and crossing the bridge to Takashimaya!

With mummy :)

With Daddy:)

View from the top of Southern Tower!
Not so great cause it was raining like crazy!

This one is for you Anna!
Daddy was taking a picture of it on his phone cause it reminded him of the plant that you sent him! Sweet huh?!

Ciao!

Yesterday

Yesterday I went to school to attend a guidance meeting and take a Japanese Placement test, which actually I didn't have to take but I did.

I was excited to see what kind of clothes everyone would wear and boy was I suprised! It was like I stepped in to a VIVI, JJ magazine! *hehe*

But guess I should have expected that!!

My friend, Miku was really fashionable and it was fun talking to her about clothes! Apparently all the clothes she was wearing yesterday were from H&M and so was mine!

I think I need to go shopping sometime soon! Well I am going on the 9th with Anna but the question is, can I wait till then?! *hehe*

Anyways, back to my day.....In the schedule it said, JAPANESE PLACEMENT TEST, so I though it was like mandatory but no. Apparently only people who applied from abroad and people who haven't lived in Japan for the past 3-4 years had to take it!

So basically I wasted 2 hours of my friday. But I got to talk to a few new girls so that was good!!

Wanna hear a funny story?!

There was this foreign guy and he was at the test.
Miku and I were wondering why he was in our room cause native speakers and non-native speakers were seperated.

But suddenly he starts speaking like an average Japanese guy to one of his friends.

It was soo funny! I wanna be friends with him!

And then, there are these two guys that look exactly like Anon-senpai and Ise-senpai!
From their height to their clothes to their skin colour! *hehe* But they look a little scary!

Argh, gotta go!

Ciao!

The Catcher In The Rye

So I know everyone reads this book in like middle school but I never got the chance to so I digged to the corners of my dad's humonguos book shelf to see if he had it and he did!!!

It smelt really old and foul though so I told my dad and guess what???

This book is older than me!
My dad bought it when he moved to San Francisco nearly 30 years ago!!

No wonder it smells weird!! *haha*

Ciao!

My Wish List

Okay so I'm going to post my wish list.
Just because I want to!
And I'm hoping you guys can give me some good advice!

MY WISH LIST
  1. Ray Ban Aviators

I found out that OLYMPIC sells Ray Ban sunglasses for a fairly cheaper price! I thought it was fake but I looked at it closely and it definitely is real!

  2. Kari Ang Wedges

The Kari Ang Wedge Sandals are like these ones that Jennifer Aniston is wearing but in black! I know it's still a little too cold but if I'm gonna get them, I wanna get them before they sell out! (which they do quite often!)

  3. Brown Western Cowboy-like Boots

Ah, I want THESE Steve Madden boots! *hehe* They are the perfect example!

  4. Big Brown Bag for Uni

I found a bag exactly like this but a little bigger in ZARA today for 15000 yen! What do you think?!

  5. A Girly Top

I like this top that Sienna is wearing. As many of you know, I LACK girly tops! *haha* I'm in that kinda phase where I want to try different kinds of clothes...

Anyways, tell me what you think!
Yurina! Anna! Buy? Forget? I seriously need your advice!

I'm a Sophian NOW!

So today I officially became a SOPHIAN! *scream*clap*scream*

Although the thought of becoming a Sophia student like my dad and my sister was exciting and thrilling, I headed to the ceremony pretty nervous and scared.

Why? Well after spending three years in a school with only about 150 students overall and where every teacher knows everything about you, it is extremely nerve-wrecking stepping foot in a new environment where you're not going to know everyone around you and where some teachers might not even care if you fail a class.

Plus, because I was aware of the fact that probably more than half of the faculty speaks better English than me, it only made me more anxious.

Anyways, with all these thoughts in mind, I attended the ceremony, which was actually more simple and prompt than I expected.

This priest -like guy and a 4th year student first spoke a few words of the bible.

"Ask, and it will given you; Search, and you will find; Knock, and the door will be opened for you"

"Do to others as you would have them do to you"

These two quotes actually stuck to me for the rest of the day.

And after that, three old men made welcoming speeches, quoting good stuff now and then. We sang the school anthem (which I didn't actually sing of course!) And if I remember correctly, I had to stand up for like 5 minutes as the representitive of the new 1st year students spoke. Her speech was good but very dramatic and literary, comparing our lives to a flower. But I don't blame her, she's a faculty of literature student! *haha*

Although it had its flaws, all in all, it was a pretty good ceremony!

With my sister again, just before I took my test, which didn't go quite as well as I thought it would!!

OH BTW, I know many of you like taking photos with just yourself in it but I just can't get used to it! That is the reason why my sister is in every photo! Not because she wanted to! *hehe*

Sorry + Thanks Anna!

And after the test, I finally made some friends! *haha* Not one, not two but THREE!! *lol* I was so proud of myself! They are all so sweet and nice:)

Can't wait to speak to more people at the orientation camp in Gotemba!!

Ciao!

P.S > Yurina + Misato
Have fun and good luck tomorrow!! You will be fine:)

P.P.S>To all former Oizumians (*haha* I just made that up!)
I MISS YOU GUYS LIKE CRAZY!!
